Type of Activity
 
Brief Description
Outreach From June 2012 until August 2012, we participated in a Back To Work
program sponsored by the Department of Workforce Services. This program is designed to expose the unemployed and underemployed to different career skills.
 
Internship Program
 
We have an internship program for the summer semester.  Between June and September, we accepted college students from the University of Utah as interns. Interns are assigned to news, production, and sales and marketing. The interns spent an average of 20 hours per week at the station.
 
Job Banks
 
Our open positions and internships are listed in job banks at the NAACP.
 
Job Fair
 
We participated in a job fair hosted the Utah Broadcasters Association in March of 2013.
 
Job Fair
 
We participated in a job fair hosted by the University of Utah in the Fall of 2012.
Job Fair We participated in a job fair hosted by the WSU radio station in Spring of 2013.
 
Station Tours
We periodically host youth groups interested in careers in broadcast for tours of our stations. This year’s groups included the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (ages 19-29), the Boy Scouts of America (ages 12-17), and Weber State University (ages 19-25).
